LinkdedIn Local – Bozeman Area [December 2019]

Thu, December 12, 2019 | 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM MST | Regus Downtown Bozeman

Description:

The LinkedIn Local Bozeman Area meetup group is an opportunity to meet regional LinkedIn connections face-to-face, and to strengthen the online relationships we form by getting to know the person behind the profile.

The December meetup is cohosted by Mallory Thompson and Randall Russo. Wine and light snacks will be served; net revenues for this event will be donated to Reach. This is a not-for-profit event.

Guest speaker and business transfer specialist Patrick McGowen will talk about how to begin with the end in mind when it comes to planning for success. Most small business owners do no exit planning. When it comes time to sell their business, there can be some painful realities. Pat will share some stories and examples of good and bad exit planning.

Even if you are not a business owner, there will be several good takeaways to plan effectively for the future. If you fail to plan, then you plan to fail.

Join the #LinkedInLocal Movement!

LinkedIn Local events are organic meetups of LinkedIn members that provide an opportunity to network, build community, share best practices for using LinkedIn, and discuss the latest industry trends.

These events are not officially hosted or sponsored by LinkedIn. Instead, these meetups are organized by members and are encouraged and supported by LinkedIn, who sees these events as great examples of how members can build their professional community on LinkedIn.

Why should you come?

To meet people for no other reason than to get to know them, and let them get to know you, and ultimately expand your social- and professional circles with like-minded people.

Business 4 Breakfast

December 10, 2019 | 7:00 – 8:30am |Quality Life Concepts

Description:

The Great Falls Area Chamber of Commerce Business-4-Breakfast is pure networking to help you promote your business. This program is for everyone but gives consideration for those who are not able to go to the luncheon or Business After Hours. Business-4-Breakfast is designed to allow you to network early in the morning so you can participate and then get to work in time to start your day. In order to help you prepare the best marketing tool you can utilize anywhere (your elevator speech), we have established some guidelines we will apply at the breakfast.

1. Each person will have 30-seconds to present their commercial.

2. You may promote one or more businesses during this time. However, it would be to your benefit to concentrate on one activity during that 30-second period.

3. You may market something other than your business.

a. This could be another business you are trying to assist.

b. A testimonial of products or services you have received from another member.c. An event or fundraiser you are promoting.

d. We do NOT recommend you utilize this time for political or advocacy statements.

Missoula’s largest monthly networking event.

Enjoy networking in a fun and relaxed environment at Business After Hours. Held in a variety of venues throughout the Missoula area, these evening receptions are a great place to meet fellow Missoula Chamber professionals.

Business After Hours is held the 2nd Tuesday of every month at a Chamber member’s business. Attendance averages 150-200 people for networking and socializing. The Chamber Red Coats assist in hosting the event by serving beverages and selling raffle tickets. Attendees have the opportunity to win door prizes and the 50/50 raffle.

As part of the Business After Hours Event, the host is given a chance to address those in attendance and Chamber staff host a short program to introduce new members, share information about the Chamber’s advocacy efforts and provide any important announcements.
